Frequently Asked Questions

What does the rental time look like?

WEDDINGS

The venue is available to one couple only for the entire day.  No rush to get in, get married and get out!  Our basic block of time begins at 12:00pm for you and your vendors.  The day ends at 10:00pm for you and your guests.  Your vendors have 10:00pm – 11:00pm for clean up.

If you prefer a longer day, morning hours (before noon) are $250 per hour.  Late night hours (extending your party beyond 10:00pm) are $1,000 per hour.

OTHER

We are happy to offer our lower level or main level separately for smaller groups/corporate meetings. Please let us know what you need and we can send you a custom pricing quote based on what you need!

How does the bar work?

Cheers! The St Vrain has a liquor license so we will make it as easy as ordering your favorite drink. We have all inclusive bar packages or if you have other ideas/budgets we can customize a package that makes sense for you! No outside alcohol is allowed on property as stated by Colorado law.

We will have soft close of the bar 30 minutes before your event ends and bar service will end 15 minutes before the end of your rental time.

Do you have required vendors?

Yes and no.

We do require you to use one of our six catering partners.

We also require you to have a minimum of Day-Of Coordination and strongly suggest either Month-Of Management or a Full-Planning Service. Our Required List of wedding planners includes 9 companies. With our approval, you may bring your own professional wedding planner, additional fees may apply due to increased administration costs.

Outside of catering and planning, you are welcome to bring your own vendors for floral, DJ, photography, videography, dessert, musicians, coffee carts, watercolor painters, ice cream trucks…have fun ideas? We can’t wait to hear!

Is a rehearsal included with the rental?

Absolutely, yes! We understand the importance of rehearsal and especially in your ceremony space, specifically. Depending on availability we would love for you to be able to rehearse the day before your wedding. If that doesn’t work, we are open to other days prior and we will work with you and your planner to get it on the calendar!

Can we bring our pup?

Yes, please, yes! You are more than welcome to have your pup here 30  minutes prior to the ceremony until up to 30 minutes after the ceremony. Get all the photos, have them “sign” your marriage license (for real!), and then have someone take them off site. The music is too loud after that, we promise they would not enjoy the rest of the party. We love services like Plus the Pups to help with this!

Is there nearby lodging?

Longmont is home to a great variety of hotels!  We love sending you to the closest and newest Hilton and Marriott properties, both just 2 miles away from The St Vrain.  If you prefer a 5 star hotel experience, located 12 miles southwest of Longmont in the heart of downtown Boulder are The St Julien and The Boulderado hotels. For our 2026 and beyond couples, we are excited to announce a brand new boutique hotel going in *right across the street* from The St Vrain. Hotel Longmont is set to open in December of 2025.

Are we responsible for setup or clean-up?

The short answer is NO!  Your only job is to enjoy your wedding day!  As a premium wedding venue, all setup and clean up is handled by your Catering Partner, your Wedding Planner and our onsite Venue Manager.

Your only responsibility is to remove your personal items from the suites at the end of your wedding day.

Are there decor restrictions?

No confetti or loose glitter (glitter never dies) and no adhesive on any of our surfaces. Otherwise…please bring all the candles (in a vessel), florals, hanging installations, balloons, lighting…we want you to make the space yours! Have other ideas, drop us a note – we’d love to hear it!

Can the lights be dimmed?

Every single lightbulb in our space is on a dimmer…So, yes! Let’s find the perfect mood and your Venue Manager will be sure to drop and raise the lights whenever you want!

Who do I rent china, flatware, napkins, etc. from?

Colored water goblets? Done! Gold flatware? Yes, please! Your caterer will assist with all rentals orders and we allow both All Events and Wallflower Rentals to bring in whatever you’d like.
